We offer this list to give a client a sense of order to an often overwhelming and complex undertaking. - Research and Acquisition – Choosing the location.
- Planning the project – Preparing plans and specifications to insure permitting approval and good communications, through to completion.
- Construction phases: 4 primary phases of work:
Site Work – From the first shovel to final landscaping. Structure – Everything required to define the spaces. From foundation through completed framework, weather tight and “ready for plaster”. Mechanicals – Hidden complexities and all operating systems, such as plumbing, electrical, hvac and security all integrated into the building ending with insulation. Finishes – from plaster on… everything you touch that brings warmth and function to the home, such as cabinetry, tile, hardwood, paint, etc.
