The approach to our work and most everyone’s work is characterized by the consequences of decision-making throughout the endeavor. We believe that four key factors must be well balanced in order to achieve superior results. We approach each project with a wide range of questions. The Product What is the best use of the property? How do we orient the living space and the garage? How much living area is appropriate in this market? What is the optimal number of rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, etc.? What style is most suitable to the surroundings? What quality level are we trying to achieve? Our goal is to make good decisions to have the product fit the site and meet the potential client’s needs. The Process Do we have the right team assembled to smoothly accomplish the work ahead? Is the right mix of resources available to take the project to completion? Do all the players involved clearly understand where we are going, and how we will get there? Are we communicating the goals well enough to keep everyone connected? Our goal is to ensure a smooth running process that enables everyone to enjoy the experience and excitement of creating a pleasing new home. The People Are all those involved compatible with the planned outcome? Are the various work forces people of character and integrity? Can those working with us be trusted to do quality work when no one is looking? Does each of the tradesmen respect the workmanship of others who came before and come after their phase of work? Our goal is to encourage every workman to respect the work of others, building on previous accomplishments. The Price Do we have a solid budget in place that gets us to the desired destination? Have we properly judged our suppliers proposals to avoid inferior substitutions? Have we selected the right blend of products to get a good result without overpayment? Might more costly selections save headaches or improve the longevity of the final product? Our goal is to make wise choices throughout the project, in order to sell a high quality home at a fair price. None of these factors are more important than the other. Balance them wisely to achieve success, enjoyment and satisfaction in any construction project. |
