Making the Work Flow Research and Acquisition
Research and acquisition efforts are an ongoing process. We stay in touch with many families who through varied circumstances are considering a change in their surroundings.

Planning the Project
Immediately following the purchase of a property, studies are undertaken to create the best possible use of a particular property. Working with our architect, sketches are exchanged until we refine the concepts leading up to the preparations of working drawings. Permitting, specifications and budgeting are integrated simultaneously into the planning phase.

Construction
Hundreds of thousands of parts and pieces are found in most any house. Keeping things in perspective is tough when all aspects of the project need to connect at just the right time and in just the right way. To keep from getting overwhelmed, we break down the home-building itself into 4 groups of activities.

  1. Site Work – Orientation of the home on the lot, tree removal, excavation, utility connections, drainage and a myriad of other important details come together early in the project. When approached, these must dovetail with those site related puzzle pieces that occur at the end, including stone walls, brick walks, driveway, irrigation and landscape. Site work sets the tone at the outset and creates a first impression when the project is done.
  2. Structure – Out of the ground, the foundation carries the framework of the home and takes shape with the installation of windows, doors, roofing and siding. The structure defines the space and holds the distinctive shape for the onlooker to appreciate.
  3. Mechanicals – Hidden in the walls are systems and technical components that enhance people’s lives. Heat & air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, communications and security are amongst the complexities that must be planned and integrated before insulating and enclosing the walls and ceilings.
  4. Finishes – Starting with plaster surfaces, grains of woodwork, tile, color and lighting bring the warmth to the home. Staircases, cabinetry and closet contents allow an occupant to experience comfort, cleanliness, order and peace enveloped by a contented lifestyle.
Marketing the New Home

As the project takes shape and offers a visual experience to prospective new homeowners, Cornerstone Concepts presents  a near "custom quality  built" home to the public, seeking to connect with the right Buyer directly or through other real estate agents who share in the MLS Property Information Network.
